What Is Form G-1145?

Form G-1145 is a form you file to request that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will send you an electronic update by email and text message. This is only a one time notification that USCIS has accepted your immigration application for processing. USCIS will only send you one notification to inform you. Form G-1145 is also called “E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance”.

This service is only possible for forms that are filed at a USCIS lockbox facility.

USCIS will send this one-time notification within 24 hours of the time that they accept your application. The notification will not show personal information about you like your name. Instead, it will show your receipt number.

When Should I File Form G-1145?

Form G-1145 is only supposed to be filed along with forms that can be filed at one of the three USCIS lockbox facilities in Lewisville, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Phoenix, Arizona. This includes all family and marriage green card applications.

Form G-1145 is not a required form. However if you are filing any form that is eligible for e-notifications, there is no reason not to file Form G-1145. This will allow you to receive a notification that USCIS is processing your application, as quickly as possible.

USCIS will also send notifications physically in the mail no matter what.

When Should I Not File Form G-1145?

As mentioned above, Form G-1145 cannot be filed with any application that is not filed at a USCIS lockbox. So, if you have to file a form at a USCIS service center, you cannot receive e-notifications.

How Much Does Form G-1145 Cost?

Form G-1145 is free. It is free because no one has to file it in order for their application to be processed. Form G1145 is optional.

Where Should I File Form G-1145?

Form G-1145 should be attached to the front of the application that you are filing it with. So for example, if you are filing Form I-130 at a lockbox facility, you could paperclip Form G-1145 to the front of Form I-130.

Will I Continue To Receive Updates By Text and Email?

No, Form G-1145 is only for you to receive one notification that USCIS has received your application for processing. This does not mean that USCIS has approved your application, it only means that they have accepted your application, and they are processing it.

If you would like to search for updates online regarding whatever application you have filed, you will need to sign up online for a personal USCIS account. This will allow you to log in any time and see updates to your applications or other forms.

All our certified translations are issued in accordance with the regulations established by the USCIS, the institution that most frequently requires this type of document. A certified translation includes a certificate issued on our corporate letterhead signed by the translator and a U.S. Language Services representative in PDF format.

When you order a certified translation, the most significant variable is how the pages of the document are calculated. We take into consideration both the number of physical pages in your original document and the total word count.

Each page may contain up to 250 words. Pages may be letter size (8.5″ x 11″), A4 or smaller and one sided.

For example: A project with 2 physical pages that each contain 500 words (1,000 words total), is calculated as 4 pages (1,000 words ÷ 250 = 4 pages).
